The project REMNANTS OF PRAYERS presents sacred folk architecture of the three countries participating in the project SAVE NATIONAL HERITAGE. These are Norwegian stave churches Stavkirke, Icelandic farm churches and Kashubian roadside shrines.
The research work in Poland began in Kaszuby and focused on exploring all possible roadside shrines, learning their genesis, finding the creators and observing how they influence social life of the rural communities. Next, we headed North to Norway and Iceland We made picture and film documentation of our every step and wrote down every interview or anecdote.

Thanks to the Photosynth technology you can take a closer look at the Kashubian shrines, discover surprising details and even see them from a different perspective.
To make it all possible, we had to take hundreds of pictures documenting each object during our journeys around Kashubia, which took us almost a year.
